Transparent GIFs

Old techniques blended and remixed with CSS

There has been a lot written in various blogs and site about good CSS practices. And while most of them are incredibly useful (thanks to Eric Meyer in particular) very little is often said about using that classic, old friend: the transparent GIF. The new Exitlog design uses transparent GIFs in the background, in layers and over coloured backgrounds. The idea was to use class elements to create something between ‘old skool 1996′ and new, 2008.

It is good there are still transparent GIFs, thanks.
